Almost in seamless transition the Grindtec followed the Metav from 19 - 22 March 2014 in Augsburg. It is THE trade fair for grinding technology.
The "Who is Who" of this industry was meeting on the trade fair premises and presented both, well established solutions and novelties for grinding technology and surface processing.
Despite the somewhat chaotic hall and visitor directory system, the fair counted many trade visitors interested in the current product lines of the various exhibitors.
We presented together with our partner company Grindtec from Göppingen in hall 3 at booth 3106:
- New machines: With our Joen Lih flat grinding machines we offer a high-quality machine generation. The uniform positive feedback of our customers upon delivery of the machines is proof of that. With our JL 4080 we presented a premium class full CNC profile grinding machine and our trade visitors were quite excited about it. The fact that we were assigned with several test processes and handed over test pieces during the fair was proof of the big interest in our work.
- Service repair and overhaul: The exhibition of a 100% overhauled Jung grinding machine which looked as good as new, was another key asset of our presentation with our partner company Grindtec in Göppingen. The team of Mr. Geiger, the managing director of the company Grindtec, has been specialising for decades in service, repair, maintenance, and complete overhauls of grinding machines. Their expertise in that field of speciality is well-renowned throughout Europe.
- Blasting technology: This technology area also drew interested customers who could watch a demonstration of the exhibited machine with different options and equipment versions.
- Laser welding, laser engraving: With two Rofin machines we presented our entry into the field of laser welding and laser marking/engraving. We can see from the inquiries coming in that this new processing opportunity is reflected in a broad application spectrum and meets with a lot of interest.
Summarising, the trade fair Grindtec, despite the organisers weaknesses in organisation, can be considered an important benchmark for grinding technology.
